I've been programming quite a lot (starting with Algol60, Basic, Pascal, C, C++, ..., to Python recently) but never had a chance to do some programming in Java. Through my work (mainly as a research assistant) I never got a job for Java programming, but luckily my son (Folkert van Verseveld) inspired me to take a look at Greenfoot/Java. After studying the Head First Java book I took a bite (4 days ago) at Greenfoot and made this demo/extension in the hope it will contribute and inspire other young-developers to make some scrolling games. I'm very anxious to get some feedback in order to extend or improve upon my thoughts.
