Nice idea, but it takes the computer quite a while to make a move and it's really difficult to visualise at the moment (at least I found it like that.) That said, without making it 3D I don't think there's a huge amount that can be done on the visualisation front!

Perhaps it'd be good if there was some functionality stopping the user from selecting any number of dimensions and length <1?

I'm using a newer version of greenfoot and it can't find the method 'Arrays.copyOf(coordinates, coordinates+1)'
line 60 in the code of Cell.

It's in java.util.Arrays. Make sure you have the latest version of java, as that method was only added in version 1.6.
(Man, I really need to finish this.)
