Alright! I have a working mouse-look code chunk!
If you have an e-mail address, I can send you the method+code

Builderboy2005 writes (on 2008-11-30):

Well that sounds interesting zerg, I've been working on a major update, and i would love to see the code, although i might not include it in the code point final tomorow. My email is Builderboy2005@yahoo.com

I personally believe you deserved to beat Quest, but that is just my humble opinion.

Builderboy2005 writes (on 2008-12-9):

thanks for that,
and congratulations for winning first place! (and beating me!)

I like the textures - and they don't seem to slow the game down at all now :) Not on my laptop anyway - and I'd describe it's processing power as the lower end of average!

Ninto writes (on 2009-3-29):

I think i spotted some sorta bug here...
If you start writing down a code and then without pressing enter click 'Start' will the text still be visible.

Builderboy2005 writes (on 2009-3-29):

Ah, yes that's right! Thank you!

mjrb4 writes (on 2009-3-30):

Hmm... every so often I come across translucent walls that I can walk through, usually they appear next to the solid ones at a slight angle (all in the first level.) Feature to try and make it more challenging, or bug?

Builderboy2005 writes (on 2009-3-31):

Where were these walls? By translucent do you mean transparent? I searched all through level 1 and i couldn't find a single wall that i could walk through. In other levels there are walls that you can walk through and act as secrets, but none in level 1, and they are never at a slight angle.

mjrb4 writes (on 2009-4-1):

Well - if they were transparent you wouldn't be able to see them at all, but I think we're on the same wavelength ;) You can see through them a bit.

They're on level 1 - though interestingly the problem only seems to occur on my laptop, I've tried it on another couple of computers and don't get them at all. Strange.

Builderboy2005 writes (on 2009-4-2):

Check the source, is it the places where the block is a 1? Because those are invisible walls that only enemies react to. There are some right outside the main entry room...
weird :/

PiRocks writes (on 2009-4-4):

It gets annoying having to start the program every time. i.e. Greenfoot.start();

Thanks!

holbikwolff10 writes (on 2009-6-22):

faster turning would be nice, but awesome other than that!

Builderboy2005 writes (on 2009-6-22):

I don't know, the turning already is pretty fast, and if I made it faster, it would become even more hard to aim

albertomarlboro writes (on 2010-1-6):

Incredible, awesome, Castle Wolfenstein map like and monsters Doom like, I wondering how long does it take to do it.

Builderboy2005 writes (on 2010-1-6):

Yeah, I was inspired a lot by those old raycasting games like Wolfenstein and Doom :)

It took my about a month and a half to make it all, although i don't remember exactly. It was made last year for the 2008 Codepoint contest.

carlsch123 writes (on 2010-3-10):

how did you make it

carlsch123 writes (on 2010-3-10):
